Welcome to the African Population Cohorts Consortium (APCC)
The APCC brings together Africa's leading population cohort studies to drive collaborative, ethical, and policy-relevant science across the continent. By uniting more than 90 cohorts in 29 countries, APCC promotes data harmonization, cohort integration, and longitudinal research that tackles Africa's most pressing health, climate, and development challenges.
Our goal is to transform how longitudinal data is used — not only to advance research, but to drive evidence-informed policy, empower local research leadership, and ensure inclusive development.
With support from the Science for Africa Foundation and in partnership with global and regional actors, the APCC is building a federated platform of secure, accessible data, grounded in African priorities.
